Salty Dog

We are still having our delicious  Champagne Saturday with the drinks that Chris concocted.  Today's drink is a Salty Dog.  I am not usually a fan of sweet alcoholic drinks, so this one is an all-time favorite for me.  Plus, it is pretty hard to mess it up.

In place of the traditional coarse salt, we have started using Canning and Pickling Salt.  This salt is finer, because it is used for canning and pickling, does not contain iodine and is a purer salt.  The flavor is much better, in my opinion. It come in a big green Morton's box. Look for it where canning supplies are located.

Salt
ice
3 Tablespoons of Vodka
4 Tablespoons of Grapefruit Juice
Frost the rim of a tumbler with salt.  Fill glass with ice; add vodka and grapefruit juice. Stir gently.

Enjoy!
