My Kitchen

Welcome to my Kitchen. Shirley, who has been to my home many times and participates in my blog regularly, suggested that I show y'all my kitchen. It looks really nice today, but about 3 years ago, it caught fire while I was frying deer meat. That is why I remind y'all to stay with your cooking.  I was at the bar going through paperwork and not paying attention.  My dog started barking shortly before the the smoke alarm went off.  I got my purse, got the dog, backed the car out of the garage, and turned the breakers off.  I went back in to call the the fire department and realized I could put it out. ( Going back in to a burning kitchen is not recommended! The insurance adjuster pitched a fit.  He said that he he could replace my home but not me.) So I got out the baking soda and proceeded to put out the fire.  I looked back and there was my lovely doggie, right there with me.  Not my plan to have the doggie with me. Not paying attention cost $20,000.  I found out the microwaves are made of plastic and catch on fire, a blazing fire.

My Kitchen Angel and a little sign that my sister-in-law
gave me survived.
It is back to the way it was originally but this incident taught me a lesson.  Be in the moment. Pay attention to life.  Multi-tasking is not always the way to go.

I hope that you have a Great Day!
