Blackberry Streusel Cake

This cake is easy and delicious!  The recipe starts with a Golden Vanilla Cake Mix, I used Betty Crocker Brand, but use what ever you like. Then it just went from there.  I am a messy cook so other than the bowls, beaters and blender, there is very little mess.  These bars are a great dessert and make a pretty presentation.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

1 package of Golden Vanilla Cake Mix, divided
1 package or Original Instant Oatmeal
2 Tablespoons of Shortening
1 Tablespoon of Brown Sugar
2 cups of Frozen Blackberries, divided
2 Eggs
1/4 cup of Oil
1/2 teaspoon of Cinnamon
1 cup of Water, divided
3/4 cup of Sugar, divided

Grease and flour a 13" X 9" ovenproof cake pan and set aside.
Combine 1/2 cup of cake mix, oatmeal and brown sugar. Using a pastry cutter, cut shortening into the mix until it appears to be crumbly and combined. Set Aside.
In a blender, place 1 cup of blackberries, 1/2 cup of sugar, and 1/4 cup of water.  Blend until smooth except for the seeds.  Pour into a bowl, add the rest of the black berries and set aside.
In a large bowl, combine the rest of the cake mix, eggs, 3/4 cup of water, oil, and cinnamon. Beat on low to combine and then on high for 2 minutes. Pour into the prepared pan.  Spoon blackberry mixture over the top, sprinkle with 1/4 cup of sugar, and cover with a layer of the crumb topping.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.  Cool completely on a wire.  Cut in to squares.

Enjoy!
