Big Texas Peach

While it is fresh Peach season ,I decided to share A Big Texas Peach. This developed from the recipe for Peach Margaritas that my cousin, June, shared with me.  We decided that the base needed to be Bourbon instead of Tequilla because peaches and bourbon just go together.  Then we changed the rim and came up with this.  If you are wondering why the rim looks like that.  We tried several rims before settling on this one.  Hmmmm? This will make everybody silly, very quick.  It is so good and goes down like fruit punch.  Oh my!

1 can of Sprite
1 can of Jumex Peach Nectar
1 cup of Bourbon
6 cups of Frozen Peaches

Pour all of the liquids in a measuring cup.  Then pour 1/2 of it into a blender.  Add 3 cups of frozen peaches and blend on high until smooth. Pour into margarita glasses rimmed with recipe as follows:

1/4 cup of Sugar
1 teaspoon of Ground Ginger
2 teaspoons of Cinnamon
Lime slices

Mix together dry ingredients, then rim the glasses with lime slices.  Coat with sugar and spice mixture.

Yum!
