Sour Cream Biscuits

Sour Cream Biscuits
This recipe started as one from my aunt and just developed into an easy, artery clogging recipe.  These are fluffy and there is not the issue of  over mixing that comes with many quick bread recipes.  These are a treat, not an everyday item.  Try them for you Thanksgiving meal. But, as always, try the recipe first to make sure that your family and friends will like it.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees

2 cups of Flour
1 Tablespoon of Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of Margarine or Butter, melted and cooled
8 ounces of Sour Cream
1 Egg

Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt.  Stir to make sure that it is combined and then make a well in the middle. Set Aside
Mix together margarine or butter, sour cream and egg.  Pour into the well of the dry ingredients.  Mix until combined.
Roll dough out on a floured surface to about 3/8" thick.  Using a floured 2" glass or cookie cutter, cut out biscuits and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 450 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes.
Makes about 1 dozen

Enjoy!
