Road Trip to Courtside Cupcakes in Groesbeck, TX

Courtside Cupcakes and More opened on July 7th.  Chris and I had a chance to go visit with the O'Kelly's a few days later.  We purchased cupcakes, a smoothie, and a slice of pumpkin roll.  I have to tell you that all were extremely delicious.

Small Chocolate Caramel Cupcake

The cupcakes  baked here are dense and moist, reminiscent of pound cake.  Lisa offers an array of gourmet flavors. Each has its own personality.

The smoothie that we tried was named, "Just Dew It". Immediately, we thought it was made from the soft drink, Mountain Dew.  However, it was not.  This smoothie was a delicious combination of honey dew melon, peaches, pineapple and orange.  It was so creamy that I assumed it had a yogurt base.  But that was incorrect, too.
Some of the smoothies do have a yogurt base.  There is a Chocolate Brain Booster which has fruit, chocolate, peanut butter and yogurt.  That sounds really good!  There are blueberry, strawberry, banana, and the list goes on and on.

Small Lemon Cupcake
The pumpkin roll was a delicious pumpkin cake wrapped around a cream cheese filling.  Yum! That is all that is necessary to say about that.

Small S'mores Cupcake
Lisa said that she became interested in having a cupcake bakery when she and her daughters visited Nashville, TN, about five years ago.  While there, they stopped at GiGi's Cupcakes.  The environment at GiGi's was so fun that the O'Kelly's decided that it was needed in Groesbeck.  I am so glad that they did.

The goal of Courtside Cupcakes is to provide a fun, cheerful, and Christian environment, along with yummy treats.  Also available is, free WiFi, coffee, sodas, milk, and juice. And they take special orders for all items listed on the menu.

I hope that you take the time to stop by and pick up a treat.  It was a lot of fun the day we visited. Courtside Cupcakes and More is open Monday through Friday, 8AM until 5PM, and Saturday, 8AM until 2PM. Prices for cupcakes start at $1.50 or $15.00 per dozen.  Smoothies currently start at $2.50 but the price increases August 1st and are worth every penny.  Black coffee is $1.00 per cup,  with flavors is $1.50. Very reasonably priced and the shop has a cheerful, positive energy. You will want to return, again and again!

Enjoy!
